This Data Privacy Notice applies to Global Arena Customers and Vendors.

Global Arena, LLC is a language solutions company with its main location at 150 N Radnor Chester Road, Suite F-200, Radnor, PA 19087. Global Arena, LLC (also referred to here as “Global Arena”, “we”, “us” and “our”) acts as a data controller for information shared with us by EU Citizens and EU Residents. The definition of data controller can be found in the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 4, Section 7. Please note that for Non-EU Citizens or EU Residents, Global Arena is not obligated to follow the GDPR. However, we value your privacy, care about the way in which your personal data is treated and strive to follow the highest standards for personal data protection.

We consider personal data any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

The ultimate result of you sharing your personal data with us will be to have the possibility to enter into a commercial relationship with Global Arena either as a client or a vendor. This privacy notice explains how and why your personal data is collected, used and shared by Global Arena.

 

Your Affirmative Consent

By using our website and entering your personal information in our forms or anywhere else on our website, you consent to our use of the information we collect from you according to this Privacy Policy and for the purposes of the specific matter you are contacting us. This includes our release of information to one or more data processors only if needed. The definition we use as data processor can be found in GDRP Article 4, Section 8.

 

What personal data do we collect from you?

We can collect the following personal data in connection with your relationship with us: your first and last name, title, email address, phone number, name of your organization, physical address, resume and certifications, either by means of using our services or providing yours.

 

How do we obtain your personal data?

Any of your personal data that we process is provided by you. By providing your data and accepting that you have read our privacy notice you are authorizing us to collect, use and share your information for the specific nature of the relationship that you intend to enter with Global Arena.

 

How do we use your personal data?

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

to enable you to use Global Arena’s services,

to enable Global Arena to use your services,

for future marketing, including sending you marketing materials about Global Arena, its services and products by email (unless you have indicated that you do not want to receive these marketing materials).

 

On what legal basis do we use your personal data?

We use your personal data on the following basis:

  • To process your personal data to enable Global Arena’s staff (including project managers, project coordinators, finance managers and consultants assigned specifically to your project) to:
  • perform the services set out in the contract we have established with you or your organization,
  • interact with you or your organization when sourcing your services,
  • to process your personal data for marketing purposes is based on our legitimate interest as it helps our business offer you new products and services and provide you with other information about Global Arena that you may find interesting.

 

How long will we keep your personal data?

We will always keep your personal data for the period for which you will be using our services or we can use yours. We will also keep your personal data where required by law or we need to do so in connection with potential or actual legal action or an investigation involving Global Arena. In the case of EU Citizens or EU Residents, we will delete your data within 3 months from the moment our services are no longer required by you or yours required by Global Arena.

 

With whom do we share your personal data?

Your personal data will be accessible to Global Arena employees, as well as to authorized personnel of certain suppliers of Global Arena in connection to the provision of our services, or any additional or replacement vendors we may appoint from time to time who provide Global Arena with various services, always in connection to your specific needs and requirements.

 

Transfers of your personal data outside of your home country

If you are an EU Citizen or EU Resident, you need to know that your personal data might be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. The countries to which we transfer personal data may not have data protection laws that provide an adequate level of protection to your personal data. However, we ensure that your personal data is always protected following GDPR. To that end, confidentiality and data protection agreements are signed with each individual or company with whom we need to share your personal data for the purpose of the provision of the services that you require from us. As part of those agreements, we also require such individuals or companies to abide to the EU GDPR.

If you are not an EU Citizen or EU Resident, we also ensure that your personal data is always protected. Confidentiality and data protection agreements are also signed with each individual or company with whom we need to share your personal data for the purpose of the provision of the services that you require from us.

 

Protecting your personal data

Global Arena may share your personal data with its suppliers under a written agreement which commits the suppliers to appropriate safeguards in relation to the handling of your personal data (including in relation to maintaining confidentiality of your personal data and implementing appropriate technical and organizational security measures).

Global Arena will take appropriate legal, organizational and technical measures to protect your data consistent with applicable privacy and data security laws.

 

Is my information secure?

Global Arena is committed to implementing its best efforts to maintain the security of information collected on our websites and by other means. Our systems are designed to prevent unauthorized access, ensure the correct use of your information and maintain data accuracy. In order to do so, we have implemented several electronic, physical and document procedures to protect and secure all the information we collect.

In the age we live, electronic transfer of information always comes with some risk. Even though we use security measures consistent with the general industry standards when we transfer information, we cannot guarantee 100% the security of all transactions of information, nor can we guarantee that information you supply won’t be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.

 

Your rights

You are entitled to:

  • request information regarding the processing of your personal data, including being provided with a copy of your personal data,
  • request the correction and/or deletion of your personal data, or object to the processing of your personal data,
  • request the restriction of the processing of your personal data,
  • request receipt or transmission to another organization, in a machine-readable form, of the personal data that you have provided to us, and
  • in the case of EU Citizens an EU Residents, complain to your local data protection authority, or to a court of law, if your data protection rights are violated.

You are not required by law to provide your personal data to us; however, if you don’t, then we will not be able to provide you with Global Arena services that you might require. If you object to the processing of your personal data, we will respect that choice in accordance with our legal obligations. This could mean that we will not be able to provide you with Global Arena’s services.
